Tiger Woods Tops these Search Engines Celeb Searches in 2010

12.01.2010 What a year for golf great Tiger Woods. Ending 2009 with one of the most controversial stories in years, let along being the biggest celebrity sex scandal to-date, Tiger Woods not only was the most searched name on Google, in December of 2009, but was also a very popular search across multiple search engines.

Bing just released its list of the most popular people searched on its site in 2010 and Woods is No. 3. Hollywood socialite/reality TV star Kim Kardashian, from hit show "Keeping up with the Kardashians," is No. 1, topping out the list. Movie actress Sandra Bullock was second on the list, and who also was wrapped up in quite the "sex scandal" with cheating hubby Jesse James.

The interest in Woods comes not only from golf fans, but also from all over the public forum. Non-golfers and non-golf fans were eager to know more about the personal life of golf legend in the making, Tiger Woods.

Here's the Bing list:

1. Kim Kardashian
2. Sandra Bullock
3. Tiger Woods
4. Lady Gaga
5. Barack Obama
6. Kate Gosselin
7. Justin Bieber
8. Jesse James
9. Lindsay Lohan
10. Jennifer Aniston

Not just limited to Bing, yet AOL also released their search records on Tuesday in a statement announcing their most popular searches for 2010, and guess who topped the list? Tiger Woods.

Following Tiger Woods on the list of the most popular celebrity searches were pop music sensations Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga at 2 & 3, while Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock and reality star Kate Gosselin rounded out the Top 5 celebrity searches.

Robert Pattinson, who plays the vampire Edward in the "Twilight Saga" came in at No. 6, followed by Kim Kardashian, Heidi Montag, Lindsay Lohan, and Bret Michaels, who completed the Top 10 list on AOL.

Although, quite the tumultuous year for Tiger Woods, who has dealt with a highly public sex scandal, losses of millions of dollars in endorsement deals, a very expensive $100 million divorce, and not winning one golf tournament, the man has stuck to his guns, improved his game quite a bit over the past few months, and is gearing up to end 2010 and start off fresh in 2011 with hopefully some early tournament wins.
