Taylor Swift is in the music industry for just four years but she has grabbed almost all the major musical awards including Grammy Awards and the acknowledgment of her talent seems not to end. The blond singer was among 5 musicians who were honored the CMT Artists of the Year award on Tuesday, November 30. Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band were the other four artists who were also honored with the same award at the same ceremony that took place at the taping of the channel's award show. Through all the 5 young singers shared the same excitement but Taylor had one extra element to spice up her Tuesday evening, the performance of the rock band "Maroon 5" on a song "Mine" from her new album. While receiving the award Swift thanked the band for choosing her song for the evening. The 90-minute show will go on air on Friday hosted by Kevin Costner.
The "Tim McGraw" singer, who will turn 21 on December 13, is making headlines for her fast closeness with Jake Gyllenhaal who is nine years older than her. Though both went into the relationship just five weeks back, but they seem to be into more than an initial stage romance. The duo was spotted at various places including New York where she spent the Thanksgiving with Jake family. And if sources have to be believed Taylor has also introduced Jake to her family in Nashville. Though either of the stars did not confirm the relationship, but US Weekly magazine features both Swift and Jake on its recent magazine cover where Swift wrapping her arm around Jake's shoulder. Swift who has earned her name as the finest songwriter is very excited with the success of her latest album "Speak Now" that will be the only country CD in the top 10 in sales at the release of the Billboard charts on Thursday. "Speak Now" after returning to the top of the country charts has become the best selling CD in US with over two million copies sold. Taylor would start her "Speak Now" world tour in 2011. The recent schedule of her world tour is planned in four continents with opening performance on February 9th in Singapore. Taylor has released the first poster of her new tour and she has also announced that the pop band Needtobreathe will be the featured band on her Speak Now tour dates in the U.S. and Canada beginning from May 27 in Omaha, Neb.
Taylor Swift is all ready to greet her fans on the Christmas Eve with the release of holiday cards that feature the Swift hands, winter scenes, holiday cookies and snow-covered Christmas trees. The cards will be sold in US, Canada, Mexico, UK, Australia, New Zealand and U.S. military bases worldwide.
