Recently, I've received many inquiries on whether sunglass styles are dated. So, I will address this topic so we can forever put this question to rest.
I can honestly say, if you have a favorite pair of sunglasses from.say.back in the day
First of all, I commend you for taking good care of your things.
Secondly, justwear them.
If you like them, wear them.
People wouldn't even notice.
And for the record sunglass styles that have been around for decades are still in style today.
For instance the 1950's Ladies Pointed End Cateye Sunglasses..
Wow.....what a mouthful I mean.what a classic.
These are the glasses that come to a point at the outer edge and were very popular in the 1950's.
Funny, but, we are currently seeing people wearing re-makes of these in 2011.
So, yeah if you still have a pair of these
definitely flaunt those oldie but goodies.
Victoria Beckham, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian and a lot of celebrities like wearing their over-sized sunglasses. These are actually nothing new, but they are very similar to the likes of Jacki-O's big sunglasses from the 1960's.
P.S. Jacki Onassis was the First Lady and wife of our 35th President John F. Kennedy. Although if you were listening in History class you'd already know who she is.
The Beatles, John Lennon's 1970's round sunglass choice is still alive and thriving in 2011. Not only is Lady Gaga a fan of this style, but we have also seen Ozzy Osborne donning these as well, not to mention others. that obviously, I have not mentioned.
Jim Morrison, lead singer of The Doors, which was a popular band in the mid-sixties to the early 1970's, who's music is still being enjoyed today, Was known for wearing what they call "Aviators", which will never be considered outdated and are still just as popular today. I can name a bunch of Hollywood celebrities that have been seen wearing them, I just don't see the point right this second. Maybe, google who the 2011 Grammy Award Winner for Best Long Form Music Video "When You're Strange" A Film about The Doors narrated by Johnny Depp & you'll be able to catch up to speed.
Come to think about it, I almost have to wonder if people now-a-days seriously think we're morons.
Everything keeps coming back a round, like it's something brand new.
Whether it's bell bottom jeans, now known as "Flared" jeans,
straight leg jeans, now they call them "skinny jeans", capri pants formerly known as "clam diggers," even leggings, shoulder pads, and leisure suits..wait a second,
leisure suits haven't come back. yet.
(consider yourselves very lucky)
Hopefully those polyester eye sores have all been destroyed
just sayin'.
Yeah, thing's keep coming back with a different name
and all of a sudden it's the newest fashion frenzy.really? That's ridiculous. We should all just pack our stuff in boxes when they supposedly "go out of style" because ten to one they'll be back in style soon enough.
Who knows, Maybe things never go out of style.
How sad is it though, that people have no "new" ideas and things just keep going round and round?
I'm not even sure some people are aware of it.
Mainly due to the fact, it's normally a different generation being subjected to the "newest fashion" thing..
and I guess it works because.it is new to them.
Don't even get me started on the re-makes of perfectly good classic movies, because people obviously don't have any "new" ideas for those either.
or how they fix city streets every year in Chicago due to pot holes and cracks. Really? Can't they figure out how to make a street with something that can last longer than a yearseason? I guess not.
Yeah. Let's just keep doing the same thing over and over and over

no..they obviously don't go out of style.
Actually, you mind as well wear whatever you want.
Heck, people will probably think it's the newest rage and you could quite possibly come up with the next
"original" fashion frenzy.
Just Remember, what's old is new again
or whatever that saying is... and..
style.. is just more of a personal preference.
