Lady Gaga scoops more awards at MTV Europe show

Lady Gaga again was again the gig winner at an MTV awards night, but this time there was no meat dress, in fact no Gaga at all as she had to accept her awards by video link due to the fact was in Budapest about to perform.

Te MTV Europe Video Music Awards took place at Madrid's Caja Mgica stadium, hosted by Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria.

Gaga still stole the show at the 2010 MTV European Music Awards in Madrid , taking home more prizes than any other act.

The singer, famous for her high concept pop videos and outrageous outfits, such as the much-talked about meat dress she wore to September's MTV Video Music Awards, was voted best pop act, best female artist and best song, for Bad Romance.

The night's other big winner was Canadian teen pop star Justin Bieber, who collected the Best Push and best male artist awards.

British acts were left empty-handed, although UK rapper Dizzee Rascal performed at the event and Kelly Brook was one of the evenings presenters.

Best Pop: Lady Gaga
Best Female: Lady Gaga
Best Song: Lady Gaga forBad Romance
Best Video: Katy Perry forCalifornia Gurls
Best Hip Hop: Eminem
Best Alternative: Paramore
Best Male: Justin Bieber
Best Live Act: Linkin Park
Best Rock: 30 Seconds to Mars

The show also featured live perfomances from Rihanna, Kings of Leon and Miley Cyrus.

The 2010 EMAs broadcast also included footage of Katy Perry and Linkin Park performing live at a free gig put on by MTV on Sunday night at Madrid's Puerta de Alcal before a crowd in the region of 100,000.
